In times of all kinds of foil, bags or plastic bottles it is difficult to find these nature friendly ones. Almost every plastic bag, foil, box or bottle has synthetic polymers in its composition. Synthetic polymers are derived from petroleum oil. However, there is a group of chemical compounds with similar properties that can be obtained from biodegradable plant materials.Biodegradable material is a perfect solution - it has similar durability to synthetic material, and at the same time is completely safe for health and the environment. What distinguishes natural polymers is their origin. They arise from natural sugars - glucose or fructose, i.e. ingredients that undergo complete degradation in natural conditions. Interestingly, in the technological process, the production of plastic products from natural polymers is less energy-consuming, and thus - cheaper. Cheap technology has also been developed to convert ethanol from sugar cane into polyethylene. During the production process, dehydration converts ethanol into ethylene, then processed into polyethylene.
We decided that we want to offer this type of packaging. That is why a bottle made of 100% sugar cane appeared in our store. Instead of petroleum products that make up plastic, sugar cane is used. This technology reduces mineral consumption and carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
However, we will not stop there. We also plan to introduce bottles made of PET material, which was obtained as a result of processing plastic waste. The first such bottle is already available on our platform on request.
